NMTG external holdback clutches are designed for use on conveyor head shafts, bucket elevators or any other machinery where reverse rotation must be positively prevented.
NMTG Sprag/Roller external Holdbacks clutch with Central Torque Arms are the perfect solution for heavy-duty applications such as inclined belt conveyors and bucket elevators. When input drive is discontinue or power supply failure then NMTG holdback instantaneously prevents reverse rotation.
Our External holdback clutches come ready to install and are equipped with a one-piece, quickly detachable torque arm.
Bucket Elevators are designed to move materials vertically. They are attached to belt/chain with Pulleys or Sprockets located at the top & bottom of the unit. Bulk materials are loaded into each bucket at Inlet point and are emptied into the discharge throat & then sent back down to continue the cycle.
Continues flow of Materials is necessary in Bucket Elevators. So, NMTG provides Reliable & Cost-effective solution in Bucket Elevators.
NMTG External Holdback with different types of mounting arrangement are used to prevent Reverse rotation of Bucket Elevator to protect Drive system. This type of Freewheel one way clutch is without bearing type, so external bearing support must be required for Axial & Radial Loads.
