NMTG is a leading manufacturer in specialized markets for Keyless locking assemblies. NMTG Locking Assemblies are friction locked shaft-hub connections manufactured to the highest quality standards. Locking assemblies are internally clamping devices for backlash-free fastening of hubs on shafts. They differ in terms of functionality: some versions are self-centering and others are not. The correct Keyless Transmission Elements can be selected based on the application. Users can also decide whether or not an axial displacement of the hub during assembly is permissible. Based on machine and plant design, units can be selected with regard to dimensions, torque and design safety.
Locking assemblies are available in a wide variety of designs, material and shapes. Depending on the requirements and specifications, we support our customers right from the product selection stage in order to find the perfect product for the application in question. locking assemblies are used, for example, to fasten chain wheels, flywheels, levers, belt pulleys, brake discs and conveyor belt drums. Our locking assemblies are available to users in various standard designs and sizes as well as customized special solutions.
Our dedicated customer service and application engineering team is ready to exceed your expectations for quality, responsiveness and expertise.

NMTG Keyless Locking Assemblies works based on wedge friction theory. By tightening screws, clamp force is generated and due to taper geometry, the clamp force transmits force to other member in radial direction which induced contact pressure to the shaft & Hub. Clamping system connect two or more parts to shaft and hub which allow motion to be transmitted and to withstand an axial thrust. Due to Interference between two bonded parts at shaft and hub the torque can be transmitted from shaft to the hub through locking assembly.
Locking Assemblies develop pressure between shaft and the hub, which transmits highest torques free from backlash. Keyless transmission elements which have varied and versatile applications on almost all engineering fields. The elements have great absorbing capacity of kinetic energy by elastic radial deformation of tapered rings. The method is also very simple. By expansion of the outer ring & shrinkage of inner rings, frictional shaft & hub connections are established,
Thus gears, chain sprockets, pulley, drum, cam discs, flywheel can to be attached preciously. The supplied locking devices are ready for installation.
Though apparently seems simple but preparing keyway is one of the difficult machining operations:
The cumulative effect of the all above (operational) errors, is really calls for an alternative system-keyless Transmission.
NMTG Keyless Transmission Elements entirely eliminates drawbacks of key transmission and conventional shrink connections and also involved calculations, extremely close machining tolerances - creating problems while fitting & removing parts and during repair work - adjustment, exchanging, etc. It efficiently replaces, key & polygon connections, splined shafts, etc.
Benefits of Keyless Locking Assemblies on the shaft-hub connections compared with traditional systems
Keyless Locking Assemblies are most suitable for securing all types of bosses and hubs on shafts and axles:
In this way, they can safeguard valuable machine components against damage. However the slip causes fretting of the contact surfaces, so elements should not be used as slip clutch.
